═✦════✦SECRETS OF SURAH AL-KAHF✦════✦═
Ever wondered why Prophet Muhammad(SAW) asked us to recite Surat Al-Kahf every Friday?
Let’s find out today inshaAllah…
This Surah has Four stories in it,having some morals, lets see them and understand what they are saying to us:
1) The People Of The Cave
Its the story of young men who lived in a disbelieving town, so they decided to migrate for the sake of Allah and run away. -Allah rewards them with mercy in the cave and protection from the sun – They woke up and found the entire village believers.
2) The Owner Of Two Gardens
A story of a man whom Allah blessed with two beautiful gardens, but the man forgot to thank the One who blessed him with everything and he even dared to doubt Allah regarding the afterlife. So His garden was destroyed – He regretted ,but was too late and his regret did not benefit him .
3) Musa(AS) and Khidr(AS)
When Musa(AS) was asked-“Who’s the most knowledgeable of the people of earth?”” Musa(AS) said:Me…,but Allah revealed to him that there’s someone who Knows more than him.Musa(AS) traveled to the man and learnt how the Divine Wisdom can sometimes be hidden in matters which we perceive as bad.
Its a story of the great King that was given knowledge and power and was going around the world, helping people and spreading all that’s good.He was able to overcome the problem of Yajooj-Majooj and build a massive dam with the help of people whom he could not even understand.
In the middle Allah mentions Iblees as the one who stirs these trials:
Behold! We said to the angels “Bow down to Adam”: they bowed down except Iblis. He was one of the Jinns, and he broke the Command of his Lord. Will ye then take him and his progeny as protectors rather than Me? And they are enemies to you! Evil would be the exchange for the wrongdoers!
Now let us see what’s the relationship between Surat Al-Kahf and the Dajjal (Anti-Christ)?
Dajjal will appear before Day of Judgement with the 4 trials:
***He’ll ask people to worship him and not Allah:
***He’ll be given powers to start/stop rain and tempt people with his wealth:
***He’ll trial people with the “knowledge” and news he gives them:
He’ll control huge parts of the Earth.
How to survive these trials? The answers are in Surat Al-Kahf
# Survival Kit 1: Good companionship.
“And keep thy soul content with those who call on their Lord morning and evening, seeking His Face; and let not thine eyes pass beyond them, seeking the pomp and glitter of this Life; no obey any whose heart We have permitted to neglect the remembrance of Us, one who follows his own desires, whose case has gone beyond all bounds.” (Surat Al-Kahf, verse 28)
# Survival Kit 2: Knowing the Truth of this World .
“Set forth to them the similitude of the life of this world: It is like the rain which we send down from the skies: the earth’s vegetation absorbs it, but soon it becomes dry stubble, which the winds do scatter: it is (only) Allah who prevails over all things” (Surat Al-Kahf, verse 45)
# Survival Kit 3: Humbleness.
“Moses said: “Thou wilt find me, if Allah so will, (truly) patient: nor shall I disobey thee in aught.””(Surat Al-Kahf, verse 69)
# Survival Kit 4: Sincerity.
“Say: “I am but a man like yourselves, (but) the inspiration has come to me, that your Allah is one Allah. whoever expects to meet his Lord, let him work righteousness, and, in the worship of his Lord, admit no one as partner.” (Surat Al- Kahf, verse 110)
# Survival Kit 5: Calling to Allah .
“And recite (and teach) what has been revealed to thee of the Book of thy Lord: none can change His Words, and none wilt thou find as a refuge other than Him.” (Surat Al-Kahf, verse 27)
# Survival Kit 6: Remembering the HereAfter .
“ One Day We shall remove the mountains, and thou wilt see the earth as a level stretch, and We shall gather them, all together, nor shall We leave out any one of them. And they will be marshalled before thy Lord in ranks, (with the announcement), “Now have ye come to Us (bare) as We created you first: aye, ye thought We shall not fulfil the appointment made to you to meet (Us)!”: And the Book (of Deeds) will be placed (before you); and thou wilt see the sinful in great terror because of what is (recorded) therein; they will say, “Ah! woe to us! what a Book is this! It leaves out nothing small or great, but takes account thereof !” They will find all that they did, placed before them: And not one will thy Lord treat with injustice.” (Surat Al-Kahf, verses 47-49)

Each and every human is in pursuit of happiness, whether it be a child, or an adult, a Muslim or a non-Muslim, and this is a true fact. In order to achieve this true happiness, one must comprehend what this emotion really is. Happiness is ‘feeling, causing, or giving pleasure’ and it is being ‘satisfied’ according to the Oxford dictionary. It is essential to understand the psychology of happiness so we know how much of it we have control over.
James Montier published his research into ‘The Pshchology of Happiness’ and learned that happiness was composed of three elements:
As humans we have no control over our genetic set-point, and hardly any control over our circumstances. This 50% of happiness in Islam is called ‘ridha bi al-qadha’ (being content with our lot on life). This means that as believers if we truly loved Allah the necessary effect of it would be that we are content with our lot in life. The Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) would supplicate with words that would highlight the importance of satisfaction with our fate, therefore we too should make the effort to recite these sorts of supplications:
“I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, with Islam as my religion, and with Muhammad as my Prophet” (Allah bless him and give him peace). [Abu Dawud].
“O Allah, make me content with what you have provided me, send blessings for me therein, and replace for me every absent thing with something better” [Bukhari].
“O Allah, I seek refuge with You from knowledge which does not bring benefit and from a heart which is not fearful and from a self which is not content and from a supplication which is not answered.’” [Muslim]
Thereafter, the main conclusion to be drawn from Montier’s research is that we can only work on the last 40% to make ourselves happier. It must be noted that this 40% cannot be achieved in pursuit of money, fame or anything else materialistic. These are all transitory, and anything transitory will never result in true happiness. True happiness is contentment, and this is only attained through activities which are not fleeting. So here are 10 steps to make our lives happier:
1. Seek the pleasure of Allah – nothing can make us happier than seeking the pleasure of Allah. Whether we are university, home or on holiday never forget to seek the countenance of Allah.
2. Be grateful – The more grateful we are to have the things we do, the more Allah will shower you with His bounties. Appreciation of what Allah has blessed you with is vital.
“If you express gratitude, I shall certainly give you more, and if you are ungrateful, then My punishment is severe.” [Ibrahim: V7]
3. Satisfy your soul and not your physical body – Work on activities that result in eternal happiness that bring a smile to the heart and not merely a smile to the face. Do meaningful work; strive to partake in feeding the homeless at hospices, assisting the distressed and helping others over and above excessive shopping, excessive eating out, and time spent in worldly activity.
“True enrichment does not come through possessing a lot of wealth, but true enrichment is the enrichment of the soul.” [Bukhari]
4. Avoid comparisons – do not look towards celebrities, rich or affluent people above you in worldly matters. The lives of such individuals are not ‘ideal’ in the eyes of Allah, look towards the lives of the likes of the Messenger (Allah bless him and give him happy) and Khadija (May Allah be pleased with her) who are our guiding stars in religious matters.
“Look at those below you (less fortunate than you), and don’t look at those above you, for this is better.” [Muslim]
5. Have no expectations in other than Allah– place all reliance and expectations in Allah alone, any favour that we do, and good character that we display is not for us to be met with the same. All that we do is in hope
“O Allah, give me enough of what You have made lawful to suffice me from what You have made unlawful, and enrich me by Your bounty giving me independence from all other than You.” [al-Tirmidhi]
6. Serve others and cultivate good relations – We should have an altruistic nature always ready share our warmth and support to others. The Messenger (Allah bless him and give us peace) strongly advised to maintain family ties, keep strong relations and relayed to us the etiquettes of social relations.
“All created beings are the dependants of Allah, and the most beloved of creation to Allah is the one who is good to His dependants” [Bayhaqi]
God gives us people to love
and things to use,
not things to love
and people to use. – Max Lucado
7. Be in routine- If we are in routine we will get adequate sleep and that solves half the problem! A person with a sleep deficit is often grumpy, tired and unproductive – all of this counteracts the characteristics apart of the 10 steps to happiness.
The Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) chose a simple live over an affluent one, and he was always content in life. One lesson to extract from his life full of happiness is his routine. A person that plans their day is much more productive than a person that doesn’t.
“The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) had carefully apportioned his time according to the demands on him for:
public affairs, and
After the early morning prayers he would remain sitting in the mosque reciting praises of Allah till the sun rose and more people collected. He would then preach to them. After the sermons were over, he would talk genially with the people, enquire about their welfare and even exchange jokes with them. Taxes and revenues were also distributed at this time [Muslim]
8. Promote brotherhood/sisterhood – feeling a part of a larger group gives us a sense of security and a safety net to fall onto in occasions of happiness and hardships. The concept of brotherhood and sisterhood is one of the central themes of Islam.
“The (example of) believers (in their mutual love, care and concern) is like a single person: if his eye complains of pain his whole body complains of pain, and if his head complains of pain his whole body complains of pain.” [Muslim]
9. Eat good halal pure food – refer to the article ‘You Are What You Eat”. Eating well maintains our physical well-being, this too keeps us happy.
10. Keep Fit – Scientists claim the best benefit of exercise is that it makes us feel happy.
Exercise is described by many doctors as an anti-depressant. The presence of certain chemicals like endorphins and phenylacetic acid increases drastically after a good work out and it is this that contributes to that ‘feel good’ feeling after a good workout.
There are two chemicals apart of exercising that contribute to that ‘feel good’ feeling after a good workout.
With these supplications and ten steps with the divine assistance of Allah it is hoped we can all live a happier life to transport us to our final abode – PARADISE, where eternal happiness lies. May Allah be pleased with us always. Ameen.

A very good presentation on the facts about the Month of Rajab, the rituals like fasting,Umrah, Koonday and the worship of the 27th of Rajab and the Mairaj Event.
(Surah al-Ahzaab: 21)
Shaykh ‘Abd al-‘Azeez ibn Baaz said:
“With regard to this night on which the Isra’ and Mi’raaj took place, there is nothing in the saheeh ahaadeeth to indicate that it is in Rajab or in any other month. Everything that has been narrated concerning a specific date for these events cannot be proven to have come from the Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alaihi Wassallam) according to the scholars of hadeeth..” (Islam-qa)
(Majmoo’ Fataawa , 20/440)
So, remember, my dear brothers and sisters in Islaam, DO NOT single out the 27th for your worship because it was NOT the practice of the Prophet OR his Sahaabah.
If however, you pray every single night and it is part of your routine to stay up for worship, then there is no harm. Similarly, if you are in the habit of fasting Mondays and Thursdays, or during Ayyaam Beed (the 13th, 14th, and 15th of every Islaamic month), and the 27th of Rajab falls on one of those days, then it is OK to do so.
The problem arises when one thinks that this night is special and singles out this night or day for worship, thinking they are getting extra reward for their worship. But this is contrary to the Sunnah.

OH ALLAH! Make useful for me what You taught me
and teach me knowledge that will be useful to me!
Some one has rightly quoted :Knowledge of the past is a key to understanding the present…. The human history carries in its pages the downfalll of nations after nations. The Qur’an notes some of the biggest down falls and the lessons along with it. In a way there are six big Nations mentioned in the Qur’an which fell down on its head. The people of the Noah, The People of A’ad, The people of Thamud, The People of Lut, The People of Midyan and then Bani Israel. All the first five Nations had a supreme destruction except Bani Israel. The destruction of Bani Israel is yet to come albeit at the hand of Isa ibn Maryam (pbuh)
The are two types of downfall, which can be further classified into multiple other types of falls. The first is the complete destruction like the above mentioned nations faced, the next is the destruction of our power and your might but you continue to stay in the world though with a wreched life i.e.e poverty, unemployment, corruption moral and economical….. If you study carefully, the past century saw the fall of big nations. The Soviet Union was made up of 15 Republics and ruled over one sixth of the world’s land. Today thousands of daughters of The Ruined Empire export them selves to various countries, packed as prostitutes. Those who have been to Dubai will agree with me.
Before that UK was a big power, who boasted that the sun never sets on the British empire. They ruled Indian sub continent for almost two hundred years. These two supreme power met their down fall on the way when their armies visited Afghanistan to rule over them. As Robert Fisk, my favorite author on the Middle East mentions : Afghanistan is the grave yard of super empires….it is easy to enter but difficult to go out from it….. The American Presidents may not agree today but their historians will definitely agree tomorrow whereas their eco scientists and socio scientists have already begun to agree and are warning the nation to check their appetite for plundering the natural wealth of the other nations.
Jim Nelson Black has written a good book “When Nations Die”….and has listed some of the common signs and symptoms…..luxury, skepticism (meaning:doubt as to the truth of something.), weariness (meaning: extreme tiredness ), superstition, a preoccupation with self.. promotion of the wrong people, the urge to over spend and A RISE OF LIBERAL OPINION- that is the popularization of attitudes and policies controlled by sentiment rather than sound moral judgment”
US is undergoing this down fall in a unique manner and I as a good Muslim pity for them. Look at their society and study it. If a society produces street predators and white collar criminals then it has to pay for prison cells. A society in which drug use is rampant must pay for drug treatment centers. The breaking up of families, the death of thousands of its soldiers… means a huge burden on the taxpayers to run foster homes and homes for old ages and pensions. No Nation can continue without moral character and God’s blessing.
The down fall of Israel has been a continues process. If you study Surah Yusuf, it speaks about the grand entry of the Bani Israel in Egypt, and Surah Taha tells us that their exit was also a grand one when they saw Pharaoh along with his entire army being drowned in front of their own eyes. Though this race was once ” the chosen people of God”. They had clouds shading them in the deserts, food coming from the heaven,Prophets after prophets and kings after kings among them yet what happened? Their history tell us about their captivity by the Pharaoh in Egypt,, Assyrians and the Babylonians followed by the crusaders and finally Hitler!
The Muslim Nations are the next one in the firing line. We are loosing our daughters to fashion and music maniacs (meaning: a person exhibiting extremely wild or violent behavior) like Hana Montana.., our young men to smoking, time destructive sports and movies, our money to buy un needed luxury brands, our faith to shrines of dead saints and our lands to greedy army invading and destroying our infrastructures, hospitals schools, taking away our oil illegally….. just because they (America ) want to give us democracy…. no wonder History repeats itself because the world doesn’t learn.
The Ideal American is among the most famous American Tv program. Though it has invented a new brand of an Ideal American, yet the Ideal American is now a singer, a dancer, a smart ready to reply , not ashamed of his own fashionable inventions but has projects of becoming famous and wealthy. This has groomed a generation of young idle Americans who sit before the Tv for hours wasting youth just watching vulgar reality shows, Mtv , fashion shows … Let it not happen to us
A young Muslim met me over a lunch and he was very enthusiastic about deen. He had read a lot of fatawas and seerah and knew a lot about Sunnah. “How do you spread what you have learnt”? I asked him. The answer is one of the most common answers we get from young budding da’ees.
” I want to do many good things, start a public library and dawah center, help the orphans, and give talks to the masses….!”
” What are you doing now a days ? ”
“Very little or nothing ” he replied.
There are scores of young muslims, girls and boys who are passionate to be Ideal Muslims. But many of them remain idle and day dream of reaching the heights of taqwa. There is a difference between being an Ideal Muslim and remaining an Idle Muslim.
An Ideal Muslim picks up realistic dreams and starts with what ever he can. An Idle Muslim just thinks of becoming something big before he starts any thing.
An Ideal Muslim does not chase wealth or fame but he looks for Allah’s pleasure without counting his laurels. An Idle Muslim is a day dreamer and wanders among fantasy clouds of doing this and that thus missing out important opporunities that comes in small sizes but could have been bricks of his solid foundations.
An Ideal Muslim does not waste his time gossiping and chatting on matters that neither benefit hid worldly need or his akhera. Surah Furqan says.. the Worshipper of Rahman are those who when pass by useless talks, pass away gallantly… the verse further says.. when they are bothered by ignorant (time wasters, gossipers etc.) they say salam…
An Ideal Muslim chooses a good Mominah and starts his family without much delay. He is not fuzzy about his choice. An idle Muslim waits for becoming richer and hopes for a extremely beautiful girl for a long time.
An Ideal Muslim begins earning halal income as an early start. He is more concerned about the source of income rather than “Come any way I want it “.
An Ideal Muslim learns deen and gives it a priority in allotting time. An Idle Muslim procastinates if for the next day.
An Ideal Muslim hunts for opportunities to do good. An Idle Muslims claims to do good but leaves off when it comes on his way.
Allah will not question you for what you can’t do. He will not ask you about why you didn’t start a huge Orphange but He may ask you why you missed out an opportunity of helping an orphan from your own relatives or neighbours. So get started soon instead of sitting idle. Do small good things in a big way Inshallah they will grow into a huge fruit giving trees in your Jannah
A thought Provoking article :
2. Political Control. The West provides intelligence reports to its puppet politicians, provides money and advice on keeping control of the population. The West provides tools of tyranny and persecution and keeps most hated puppets in power. In its pursuit of political control it foments revolutions, causes murders and ruins of families. American CIA is the world’s worst terrorist agency that makes the U.S. the world leader in terrorism. Israel is a close second worst terrorist.
3. Sowing dissentions. If Muslims were good Muslims the West would fail in sowing dissentions. Alas! The Muslims themselves are very corrupt people and they would not think twice selling their brothers or kill them for a meager amount of money from their enemies. Muslims take the money from their enemies and sow dissentions, throw bombs, shoot innocent people and their fine leaders. Embassies of the West and their surrogate agencies foment all such plots and fund their “missions impossible”.
4. Retarding Growth. The West spends a lot of money and manpower to retard educational, technical, scientific and industrial growth of the Muslim countries. The West sends its “experts” who give advice everything against the development of the Muslim countries. The only area the Western experts are honest are in health for their own selfish reasons. Espionage, bad advice and market control are the methods of retarding growth of the Muslim countries.
5. Keeping Military Power in Check. This is the most important area for the West to control. The West brings army generals and senior officers to the West, provides them with liquors, women and gifts, takes pictures, in case they are needed for blackmailing purposes and implants them back. Naturally, the West collects its IOUs from military officers when it needs them or else.
It is important that the Muslims understand tactics of their enemy before they can develop their vision and a plan to make Islam acceptable in the West and in the world.
The following is a transcript of a talk delivered on this subject:
The day of ‘Ashoora is approaching us on the tenth of the month of Muharram. This sacred month of Muharram is a blessed and important month for the Muslims.
It is the first month of the Hijri calendar , and is one of the four sacred months concerning which Allah (swt) says in Surah al-Tawbah:
“Verily, the number of months with Allah is twelve months (in a year), so it was ordained by Allah on the Day when He created the heavens and the earth; of them, four are sacred. That is the right religion, so wrong not yourselves therein…” [TMQ al-Tawbah: 36]
In this ayah, Allah says, “so wrong not yourselves therein…” means do not wrong yourselves in these sacred months, because sin in these months is worse than in other months.
It was reported that Ibn ‘Abbas (ra) said that this phrase, “so wrong not yourselves therein…” referred to all the months, then these four were singled out and made sacred, so that sin in these months is more serious and good deeds bring a greater reward.
It was narrated by al-Bukhari (2958) that Abu Bakrah (ra) reported that the Prophet (saw) said:
“The year is twelve months of which four are sacred, the three consecutive months of Dhu’l-Qa’dah, Dhu’ l-Hijjah and Muharram, and Rajab Mudar which comes between Jumaadil-akir and Sha’ baan.”
In these days of Muharram the Prophet (saw) recommended for us to fast on the 9th and the 10th of this month.
Al-Bukhari narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas (ra) who said: “The Prophet (saw) came to Madinah and saw the Jews fasting on the day of ‘Ashoora’. He said, ‘What is this?’ They said, ‘This is a righteous day, it is the day when Allah saved the Children of Israel from their enemies, so Musa fasted on this day.’ He said, ‘We have more right to Musa than you,’ so he fasted on that day and commanded [the Muslims] to fast on that day.” [Bukhari, Hadith No: 1865].In a report narrated by Imam Muslim, that the Jews said, “This is a great day, on which Allah saved Musa and his people, and drowned Pharaoh and his people.”Muslim also reported that, “Musa fasted on this day in thanksgiving to Allah, so we fast on this day.”
Mu’awiyah ibn Abu Sufyan relates: I heard the Messenger of Allah (saw) say, “It is the day of ‘Ashoora. Allah (swt) has not made fasting obligatory for you. But I am fasting. He who likes to observe fast among you should do so, and he who likes not to observe it (does not have to) observe it.” [Sahih Muslim] Abu Qatada (ra) relates that theHoly Prophet (saw) said that, “the fast on the 10th of Muharram atones for the sins of the preceding year.” [Sahih Muslim] Abu Huraira (ra) reports that the Holy Prophet (ra) said, “after Ramadan, the fasts of Muharram have the greatest excellence.” [Sahih Muslim] In addition to the keeping of the fast on the 10th of Muharram we should also aim to fast on the 9th as well as stipulated in the following ahadith:Ibn Abbas (ra) relates that when the Holy Prophet (saw) said, “If I survive till next year, I will definitely observe fast on the 9th of Muharram (as well).” [Sahih Muslim] Hakam ibn Al-Arat (ra) relates: I went to Ibn Abbas (ra). I said to him: Tell me about fasting on ‘Ashura. He said, “When you seen the new moon of Muharram count the (days) and (begin to) observe fast on the 9th.” I said to him: “Is it how the Messenger of Allah (saw) observed the fast?” He said, “Yes.” [Sahih Muslim]
These days also remind us of the story of Musa (as) and his struggle against the Pharaoh. Allah (swt) said in Sura al-Qasas:
“These are Verses of the Book that makes (things) clear. We rehearse to you some of the story of Musa and Firawn (Pharaoh) in Truth for people who believe. Truly Firawn elated himself in the land and broke up its people into sections depressing a small group among them: their sons he slew but he kept alive their females: for he was indeed a maker of mischief. And We wished to be gracious to those who were being depressed in the land to make them leaders and make them heirs. To establish a firm place for them in the land and to show Firawn and Haman and their hosts at their hands the very things against which they were taking precautions.” [TMQ 28:1-6]
Indeed brothers the story of Musa (as) is a great story that Allah (swt) related to us in the Quran.
Allah (swt) told us of how the Firawn oppressed the people, how Firawn broke the people into sections depressing a small group among them, how Firawn killed the new born sons of the people and how he ruled the people with his tyranny and oppression.
And we all know how Allah Azza wa Jal raised Musa (as) to liberate the people from this tyranny and oppression.
Allah Ar-Rahman ar-Raheem mentioned in the in Surah al-Qasas how he protected Musa (as) from his campaign of killing the children. Allah (swt) tells us of how when Musa (as) was born Allah (swt) inspired his mother to cast him into the river. Look how she obeyed this command of Allah (swt) with no resistance, imagine casting your child into the river, this is the meaning of having Tawakkal in Allah (swt).
Firawn and his wife found Musa (as), upon seeing Musa (as) Firawn’s wife felt joy and convinced Firawn not to slay him. Allah (swt) reunited Musa (as) with his mother when he would not take the milk from others, so eventually the wife of Firawn employed Musa (as)’s mother as a maid to look after him. Allah (swt) explains this beautiful story,
“And We ordained that he refused suck at first until (his sister came up and) said: “Shall I point out to you the people of a house that will nourish and bring him up for you and be sincerely attached to him?”…Thus did We restore him to his mother that her eye might be comforted that she might not grieve and that she might know that the promise of Allah is true: but most of them do not understand.” [TMQ al-Qasas: 12-13]
When Musa (as) grew up he stood against Firawn and challenged his corruption and tyranny, he led the Children of Israel (Bani Israel) against the Firawn and made them disbelieve in him and his tyranny. Firawn believed he was a god and that he had the power of life and death in his hands.
Allah Azza wa Jal said in Surah Yunus:
“Firawn was an arrogant tyrant on the earth indeed he was one of the Musrifeen (transgressors)” [TMQ 10:83]
Brothers today we have many modern day Firawn’s, many Musrifeen (transgressors) and tyrants.
Today Bush and his America is one of these modern day Pharaoh’s. We know America thinks it is the God of this world, how it bombed the Muslims in Iraq, how it bombed the Muslims in Afghanistan and Sudan in the past for no reason and how it continues to impose it’s policies all over the Islamic lands. It is the arrogant tyrant of the world today. The arrogance of these people is apparent, as one Time magazine title put it ‘America Rules: Thank God’.
Brothers, America is not the only Firawn in this world today, America has many assistants in the world as Firawn had his assistants like Haman.
Today the rulers in the Muslim world are these assistants and Firawn’s who carve up the people as Firawn did and oppress them as Firawn did and kill them as Firawn did.
Today brothers although there are many tyrannical agents of Firawn and the side of Baatil (falsehood) is clear, we must realise that the side of Haq (truth) is also clear and gaining momentum. The people on the side of truth, carrying the call of liberation from the rules of man to the rule of Allah (swt), from darkness of the Firawn’s to the light of the Khilafah, even if they face all types of persecutions and hardship in the pursuit of this.
Brothers! Musa (as) liberated the Children of Israel from the Firawn, we to need to liberate the Muslim Ummah from the oppression of Capitalism. The method to achieve this is taken from the well known Hadith,
“Banu Israel used to be looked after by the Prophets; when one Prophet died, another one would succeed him, and there will be no more Prophets after me. There will be Khulafah and they will number many.”
Firawn’s end came even though he believed he had all power in his hands. Indeed the time will come when America and its agents in the Muslim world will drown in the ocean of history as Firawn and his men were swallowed by the ocean and drowned.
Musa (as) and all the other Prophet’s (as) relied upon non other than Allah (swt) to fulfil their mission. Musa (as) sought help and support from his Lord, Allah (swt) says in Surah Ta-Ha ,
“Musa said: ‘O my Lord! Open for me my chest (grant me self-confidence, contentment, and boldness). And ease my task for me; And loosen the knot (the problem) from my tongue, (i.e. remove the impairment in my speech), that they understand my speech, And appoint for me a helper from my family, Haroon, my brother; Increase my strength with him, And let him share my task (of conveying Allah’s message), That we may glorify You much, And remember You much, Verily! You are of us Ever a Well-Seer” [TMQ Ta-Ha: 25-35]
Today in our pursuit of re-establishing the Khilafah to dethrone the Firawn’s of this world we must rely on Allah (swt) alone, He is As-Samee’a, Al-Mujeeb.
Khadija umm ul’ muminin (r.A), the first and most beloved wife of the Prophet Muhammad (saws), a shinning example for post modern women. Particularly those strong, independent Muslim women with an entrepreneurial spirit. I see her as one of histories finest examples of libertarian feminism in action.
In a society dominated by men, where most women were treated as a little more than chattel, Khadija excelled. Not only did she excel as a woman in a male dominated society. she dominated her male counterparts in the usually exclusive area of commerce. How was she able to do this? Was it through a state apparatus mandating gender based pay or hiring quotas? No.was it through the power and influence of the Prophet (saws)? No, Khadija (ra) passed long before hijra and Muhammad (saws)’s political ascension. Some if not many, will argue it was by circumstance. That her previous marriage had left her in a state to make this all possible. which may be right only partially. It was her abilities dedication and intuitiveness that made her a commercial power house in 7th century Arabia. Anyone can run a successful business and run it into the ground, it takes talent, foresight and hard work to inherit a successful business and make it better.
In a society where modern Liberal Feminism teaches that immodesty is equal to power, and that rejecting if not destroying traditional family gender roles, is synonymous with liberation. Khadija offers a historic refutation of this mindset, she was able to do the all the ‘empowered modern woman’ seeks to do and she did it without the force of the state, without rejecting her societal role as a woman. And she did it without compromising her modesty or integrity. she accomplished all this through the strength of her own character, making her far more inspirational than any NOW or CODE PINK spokesperson.

Indeed, such a strong liberated woman with brains and beauty is the archetype of a loving life companion. This is the first person to embrace Islam, a woman. A woman with power, freedom, intelligence and independence chose by her own right to be the first Muslim to accept Islam and dedicated the rest of her life to its cause. She is truly the mother of believers, her strength and support is the back bone of the Islamic movement and its success.
‘She nursed it through its infancy, through its most difficult, and through its most formative years. Islam was given shape and design in her home. If any home can be called the cradle of Islam, it was her home. She “reared” Islam. If any home can be called the “axis” of Islam, it was her home; Islam revolved around her home’
As we face a society of moral decline, which pushes the idea that for a woman, to be successful, must conform to societal pressures to behave a certain way. That to be successful in a ‘man’s world’ a woman needs to disregard her femininity and adopt a cut throat masculine demeanor, or she might not survive.
Here we have an example of a woman who did it all without compromising her virtue her love for others kept her strong and resilient is it any wonder that she is revered by Muslims all over the world as one of the most important women in history.
“Narrated ‘Ali: The Prophet said,:
“The best of the world’s women is Mary (at her lifetime), and the best of the world’s women is Khadija (at her lifetime).”
(Sahih Bukhari: Book #58, Hadith #163)”

In sha’Allah now you can download the Book Stories of the Prophets from the link provided below . In this book, the stories of the Prophets have been compiled from ‘Al-Bidayah wan-Nihayah’ (The Beginning and the End) which is a great work of the famous Muslim exegete and historian Ibn Kathir and has a prominent place in the Islamic literature.
The stories of the prophets and all the events in their lives have been supported by the Qur’anic Verses and the Sunnah (traditions) of the Prophet (Peace be upon him). Wherever it was necessary, other sources have also been reported for the sake of historical accounts, but on such places a comparative study has been made to prove the authenticity of the sources. Ibn Kathir has reproduced the views and interpretations of all the great exegetes of the Qur’an of his time. The systemic narratives of the Stories of the Prophets have been written in chronological order which.
Stories of the Prophets
Every Ummah had a fitnah and the fitnah of my Ummah is wealth… says a popular Sahih Hadith..( Every nation has its fitnah (trial or temptation), and the fitnah of my ummah is wealth.
(Reported by al-Tirmidhi, 2336; Saheeh al-Jaami’, 2148).).
The hadith means that the Muslims will succumb to financial pressures or get tempted to step into haram and gradually sink deep into it . The above mentioned hadith means that if you fail in your wealth test then many of your ebaadah are in danger. Allah accepts only Halal and Tayyab.
Among the wisest lessons in Islam Finance is ” where not to spend ” if we master this skill then we will not be enlsaved to financial temptations. In simple words, “We will be thankful to Allah for what he has given us “
Most of us enter into the forbidden zone of haram earning under the pressure of our children..So the Qur’an warns us regarding that too.. Indeed in your wealth and your children there is a fitnah..(Quran 64:15 Your wealth and your children are but a trial, and Allah has with Him a great reward. ) now here fitnah means test. This is precisely what is happening to many of us who cannot differentiate between poverty and relative poverty.
Poverty in our times is something that cannot afford you a luxurious life. If your house is a single bedroom apartment and your Aircondition machine makes more noise than your child, and your car is too small and an old model as compared to your friend’s and you cannot afford to take your family to an expensive restaurant nor can you bring out your mobile and show it to your friends who have branded mobiles, then you are considering yourself to be poor but actually it is otherwise. It is this wrong concept of poverty that makes many of us greedy and atrocious.
Take this case..suppose I am a salary earner and my daughter participates in her rich friend’s marriage and sees all that lavish gifts she gets from her rich father.. next year when she prepares for her marriage she will desire to have such luxury that she saw at her friends place.. this may not be with all the girls but many.
This is because people follow or love to follow or get tempted to follow the rich and the elite class. That is why if the elite class adopts simplicity in their costumes and lives the trend follows easily and faster.
In the early days, a poor man was one who did not have one time food nor a pair of dress to cover his body. It was about such poverty that our beloved Prophet (PBUH) sought refuge from Allah.Today when we recite this dua we seek refuge in Allah from relative poverty..that we may not be deprived of luxuries.
